We’re all suckers for a romantic love story but what really captures our hearts are romantic love stories based around food. So you won’t be surprised by our interest in the following story.
300 Sandwiches is the mastermind behind one American couple living in New York.
As the creator explains:
‘My boyfriend E is obsessed with two things: Star Wars and sandwiches. During a Sunday lunchtime viewing of “Return of the Jedi” he told me: “you are 300 sandwiches away from an engagement ring!” … And so, I got cooking .’
300 Sandwiches tracks the journey between two people in love as they share experiences, emotions, their adventures, arguments, holidays, special times and average days over the course of making 300 sandwiches, which in turn, as promised leads to that all important proposal.
The sandwiches vary between sweet and savoury but every single one has had us drooling. E is one lucky man to have such a talented lady cooking for him and taking up the challenge.
Following the story we were glad to see that E couldn’t wait till the full 300 to propose, but gave in on sandwich 257.
