You Look Great
In the last few weeks a group calling themselves Overweight Haters Ltd have been handing out business cards with fat shaming messages on them to complete strangers on the London Underground . After the initial outrage at this ,a German website very quickly turned these negative actions into a positive campaign by creating and printing cards to be handed out with messages telling plus size women how fantastic that they look.
The creator of these cards Bethany Rutter felt compelled to design the positive cards after asking herself the following questions “How would I react if it happened to me?’’ ‘’ what would it do to other fat women who are less confident than me?” She went on to say
“I really know how much a compliment from a stranger can brighten my day and had thought in the past how nice it would be if I had cards like business cards except with compliments on,”
We feel that it is fantastic to see that the initial negativity surrounding this news story has been turned into a positive outpouring of support from and for plus size women and men.
