The Art of Flattery

The secret about feeling great in your clothes is all about the fit, it has to be perfect!

Here at Anna Scholz we have learnt so much over the last 20 years about enhancing, shaping and accentuating your curves and I would love to share these pointers with you.

My philosophy has never been about hiding away, but working with curves (your body?). Actually one of my favourite quotes to date is

‘When a woman does not want to be noticed, she should lie in bed with a cup of tea and wait for the moment to pass’ – Azzedine Alaia

We work in a very 3-dimensional way at annascholz, we don’t just grow (grade) each size bigger, but we look to keep the shoulder narrow for a slimmer silhouette and work with deeper darts whilst still accentuating the waist.  It’s all about creating the best possible silhouette.

Our double silk corset dress is the perfect example, the bust is encapsulated in a bra shape bustier, the shoulders stay narrow and the skirt has a double layer in the front with a tighter under layer and a pleated draped overlay to flatter a rounded tummy.

Our shaped corset style leather bustier creates curve-skimming magic through the elasticated neoprene side panels which angle forwards to create a slimming V in the front panel (and allow you extra room to breathe once you sit down). So not only do we want to give you the most flattering styles we want you to feel comfortable and enjoy wearing them too!

The jersey sash dress has a low cut V neck which elongates your silhouette and has an extra panel underneath the V to keep you modest whilst the ruched sash will cover any unwanted lumps and bumps.

The lace party dress has a firmer jersey lining holding you in where the stretch lace skims over your curves. The keyhole neck and shoulder frills give this dress an extra funky edge.

The key is to get to know your shape and experiment with different garments and proportions.

Just always be worship worthy 🙂
